It was a beautiful and huge room - a triple - once again huge. Staff more than accomodating. Breakfast good and great location. Free oxygen for those needing it in lobby. 2 bathrooms in my triple was fantastic - just a word of warning - if you have people over 6 feet tall make sure they watch their heads. It has it's own style - Peru style making it so much authentic than another Cusco hotel. I would stay again in a minute.
Checkout time was like 8-9 am - very early.
The room is very basic. The same for the buffet breakfeast...No aircondition in the room. The only window was to the patio. Considering the altitude from sea level of Cusco, a source of open air is crucial. I felt airless and had to go out of the room..Another issue is the payment..They charge in soles but they convert the dollars amount to soles according to the high rate, like they are selling me dollars..So we pay the comission twice..By the way this comment is for all the hotels in south America.
Mario the Bell/Door/Jack-of-all-Tradesman was fabulous and very attentive. The artwork and fireplace in restaurant are awesome.
Our first night was in an Attic Room that did not have window and bathroom not updated. Our other 2 nights were in a beautiful room with bay window and modern bathroom.
Loved the location Loved the tranquility! "Peaceful" No noise! We stayed in the new section of the hotel. We got the rest we needed. The breakfast was good. The service was great! The staff was nice and friendly Very helpfull. We would recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!
I didn't like the the bad smell in the hallway leaving the receptionist area going towards the main elevator.
The staff was very helpful and attentive. The rooms were clean, great shower, beds and breakfast spread.
Old world architecture with beautiful lobby, dining room. The surprise courtyards on the second floor were incredible. The staff above and beyond in hailing cabs, fixing drinks, and knowing our names. The locaton 2 small blocks from the Plaza Armas was amazing, -- especially since we were on our own hotel. Location next to the restaurants and trendy shops -
WiFi extremely weak in our room -- perhaps designed to have us step out side in sit in the courtyards where reception was excellent.
We stayed at the Royal Inka I Hotel in Cusco and I would highly recommend it. It was a great... clean, friendly staff, free wi-fi in the room, pretty good breakfast included and a decent room/bathroom for the price. (Room 704 is where we stayed, it had an amazing balcony/view and a comfortable, warm bed). I think it was about $70 per night. The Royal Inka I hotel takes US electricity. They also had a hair dryer in the room, so I didn't even need mine. Note there is a Royal Inka II Hotel. We never went inside but it looked fine too. Stay here with Confidence. The location is close to all the things you want to see in Cusco!
Location and staff were excellent.
Smoking in the courtyard! This affects everyone in the hotel, whereas the smokers could easily go out the front door and have no problems.
The very friendly staff & atmosphere. Would definitely stay there when I return to cusco.
Great price for a really great location and nice staff. Good breakfast.
The room smelled like smoke, and the staff wasn't always as attentive as they should be.
